Why travel to Crete?

My family roots run deep into the island soil. I grew up cooking with my yiayia who wove epic tales about her mountain village outside Chania as we rolled dolmathes at her kitchen table. Walks through that same countryside yield medicinal herbs we will blend into teas. You will hear the ever-present clang of bells dangling from nearby goats and sheep whose milk is made into mouth-watering cheeses you can’t taste anywhere else.
